MVC exhibited in Saudi Arabia
27 Feb
MVC - Portuguese Limestones traveled to the Middle East to exhibit in Big 5 Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This was our third time in the kingdom, working to deepen ties with partners and promoting our presence in the region.
During the 4-day show, we exhibited our best selection of limestones for hundreds of visitors, among whom were top government stakeholders and the private sector. We got to meet interesting new people and discover unique new projects for the country in the next few years.
This was not our first incursion to Saudi Arabia. Over a decade ago, MVC - Portuguese Limestones supplied natural stone for the mosque and financial district within KAPSARC - King Abdullah Petroleum Studies and Research Center. It was our first (and so far only) project in the kingdom. We started big, with Zaha Hadid’s beautiful vision and creativity, supplying Vidraço Moleanos, Atlantic Blue and We are working to supply our limestone to yet another unique project in Saudi Arabia.
We hosted Mr. Nuno Mathias, the portuguese ambassador to Saudi Arabia, in our booth and talked about deepening business and trade ties between Portugal and the kingdom. We discussed the challenges and opportunities in exporting our limestone for Saudi Arabia’s mega projects. We are grateful to the ambassador for such a rich visit.
During our stay in Saudi Arabia, we also had the great honor of being hosted by the Federation of Saudi Chambers for a meeting with entrepreneurs from Portugal and Saudi Arabia, to build bridges between the two countries and their companies. The meeting was directed by H.E. Mr. Hamad Al-Sulaiman, the chairman of the Saudi Portuguese Business Council.
