6 Jan
After six months of restoration, the world's largest stone Buddha in Sichuan has reopened to the public.
"With 71 meters height, the Leshan Buddha is the largest stone-carved Buddha, according to UNESCO. Built during the Tang Dynasty, more precisely in 713 AD, near the Chinese city of Leshan.
Visitors who want to reach the top of the sculpture will have to climb 250 steps. "
